About Frank

Born and raised in Miami Beach, Frank experienced many of history’s moments growing up including The Cuban Migration to the US. The turbulent 1960’s saw Miami Beach become the sun and fun capital of the world, and the destination for both winter fun and spring break.

He witnessed the Democratic and Republican Conventions and social unrest during the time of Nixon, the growth of South Beach, (his step-father was the mayor) and worked in the major hotels of the time.

His mother was a world renowned fashion designer and appeared on ‘The Merv Griffin Show’.  His father, was a producer of Broadway shows in south Florida in the 1950’s.

After receiving his degree in history, Frank filmed and later televised a travel program for TV syndication.  He filmed, among other things, the Mayan ruins of San Gervasio on the island of Cozumel.  His passion for lecturing on culture, history, geography, politics, and the social sciences came out of this adventure.

Frank was the first person to be a contestant on the ‘Jeopardy’ game show hosted by Alex Trebek in 1984. He appears on the 20th anniversary DVD.

Mr. Selevan was also involved in the development of TV game shows and worked on TV talk and late night television.

A producer and writer of television, radio and stage, Frank trained with ‘The Groundlings’, an improvisational theater school in Los Angeles.

Frank enjoys traveling all over the world. He has lectured on cruise ships since 2005.

Europe, Mexico, the USA and the Caribbean are all part of his studies.

With knowledge, wit and a unique performance style, Frank informs and entertains. He enjoys meeting people from all over the world.
